In Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills checkpost area, a small apartment building offers sweeping views of the city and park. Hyderabad leads India with form-based coding in urban development. After municipal approvals, we optimized floor layouts for cross-ventilation through terraces and balconies. Our innovation included 9-inch-thick brick walls corbelled to support stone-faced lintels, integrating recessed glass bay windows seamlessly. Precision in corbelling was ensured through wooden templates, enhancing craftsmanship. Beyond its visual appeal, our project aims to elevate traditional craftsmanship in southern India by refining construction processes. Through this endeavor, we not only showcase striking design but also push the boundaries of artisanal expertise, contributing to the evolution of craft in the region.
