Designing the second outpost for one of Mumbai’s most esteemed hospitality brands posed a significant challenge due to the unique characteristics of the site. Situated on an L-shaped ground floor location with imposing columns dividing the space, our design task was twofold: establish a clear directional flow for the space and mitigate the visual impact of the massive columns. Our design introduced innovative doubly curved spiralling stainless steel tubes, strategically positioned between columns, creating a visually captivating gesture that guides visitors through the space. This solution adds movement and reduces the perceived mass of the columns, enhancing the venue’s sophistication. The tubes serve as visual guides, seamlessly leading patrons through the hospitality venue, while dynamic light interplay further enhances the experience. This design effectively addresses layout and structural challenges, elevating the overall experience for visitors to the brand’s second outpost in Mumbai.
