Bhavishya, Catalyzing Urban Space

Our proposal aims to integrate the project with the city’s transportation and housing networks as envisioned by the Development Plan. Situated along the rapidly urbanizing S.G. Highway in Ahmedabad, the project comprises mixed-use retail, office, and residential spaces. Often, developments of this scale become isolated from the city fabric, relying solely on infrastructural networks without contributing to urban vitality. Our approach seeks to address this by connecting to transportation networks and extending a nonexistent greenway from the nearest BRTS stop to our site, creating a shaded plaza. This model of private development aims to provide urban open space, with retail programs on the ground floor and tiered terraces. Additionally, a proposed dry waste recycling unit aligns with a local government scheme, offering a sustainable solution that may benefit neighboring developments over time.
